The Role of Multi-Sector Partnerships in a New Development Era

  • CSIS 1616 Rhode Island Avenue Northwest Washington, DC, 20036 United States (map)

This event will focus on the growing role of development partnerships in an era of declining budgets and declining ambition for official development assistance.  CSIS will be joined by panel moderators Richard Crespin, the CEO of CollaborateUp, and Greg Huger, Owner of Ayrlie Partners and a former Mission Director at USAID.  Additional panelists will represent the donor, military, private, and civil sectors.  With such a diverse representation of interests and views, we will cover ways in which companies, the development sector, the private sector, and bilateral and multilateral donors can think creatively about future partnerships and relationships.  The private sector plays a catalytic role in emerging economies, but how can policy maximize efficiency and social impact while ensuring benefit for these industries?
