Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies is hosting a conversation with Jon Temin, an expert on conflict and governance issues in the South Sudan. From 2014 to 2017 he served as a member of the Secretary of State’s Policy Planning Staff, providing strategic guidance and long-term planning to the Secretary on Africa issues. Before Policy Planning, he directed the United States Institute of Peace’s Africa program, testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and conducted extensive research in Africa as a Fulbright Fellow.
