Rebuilding After Conflict

Violence and conflict can leave deep and lasting scars, physically and mentality in both individuals and the larger society.  How can countries recover from conflicts that have lasted for years or even decades? How do they rebuild trust between neighbors, government institutions, and create a civil and peaceful society?

The World Affairs Council-Washington, DC is hosting host Ambassador Lukman Faily, former Ambassador of Iraq to the United States, for a discussion on rebuilding a country and society after conflict.
