Why cyber war law matters

Last week, the ICRC, UC Berkeley's Miller Institute for Global Challenges and the Law, the American Society of International Law's Lieber Society on the Law of Armed Conflict, and the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology sponsored The Internet in Bello: Cyber War Law, Ethics & Policy.

Eric Talbot Jensen, a former US Army JAG, is Associate Professor of Law at Brigham Young University, where he teaches and writes on IHL and national security law. Prof. Jensen, who spoke at the Berkeley event, explains why it is important for humanitarian, legal and policy experts to come together and tackle the challenges related to IHL and cyber technologies.
