The ICRC in conjunction with the French Red Cross will be conducitng its annual IHL course for humanitarian practitioners from May 31st to June 6th in Mondane, France. The objective of the course is part of a global strategy adopted by the ICRC and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement as a whole to promote the principles and rules of IHL.
The course will consist of a series of lectures on IHL, discussions on issues arising in relation to armed conflicts today, and exercises designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice in the field of IHL. Theoretical knowledge gained from lectures will be put into practice and linked to the realities of contemporary armed conflicts.
To apply, candidates must send a letter of motivation, their curriculum vitae, as well as a completed application form to their National Red Cross Society by April 1st, or directly by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 9th. Please also take note that the course will be conducted in French.
