Harold Koh on the International RC/RC Conference

As a state party to the 1949 Geneva Conventions, the United States took part in the International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent held in Geneva at the end of November.

State Department Legal Adviser Harold Koh led the US delegation at the Conference, alongside other government representatives and members of the American Red Cross.

Mr. Koh, for whom the event was "a significant success", speaks about the role of the US government at the Conference and the issues and resolutions that were of particular interest to the United States, notably those related to IHL.
