Ten Colombian soldiers and police officers were released Monday by FARC-EP and handed over to a team made up of members of Colombians for Peace and ICRC delegates.
The freed members of the police and armed forces immediately boarded a helicopter supplied by the Brazilian government and duly bearing the red cross emblem.
They were then flown to Villavicencio, where they reunited with their families.
Colombia Head of Delegation Jordi Raich was there. He explains why one of the men released gave a tree leaf message to the Brazilian pilot who flew him out of the jungle.
