South Sudan, born six months ago, is increasingly affected by armed violence.
In recent days and weeks, intercommunal violence has claimed many lives in Pibor County, Jonglei State. Thousands have been displaced.
ICRC surgical teams working in Juba and Malakal are treating the wounded who are able to reach these cities but many displaced are on their own in the bush, where it is extremely difficult to reach them.
